3rd Anniversary!

Today was our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. It's been a bit of a non event to be honest, considering for the past 2 years we've been in Florida or Cyprus!! I took Kory to his first swimming lesson to celebrate! We'll probably go out for a nice meal while we're away next week though!

Au Revoir House!

Well this is the last blog from this house as we move tomorrow! The past couple of week have been a mish mash of packing, cleaning and escaping the madhouse. We'll be offline for a while, so I thought I'd let you see some photos since the last blog.

Lark in the Park

I've had a fun week. I've been helping Mummy unpack everything she tries to put things in boxes and had some giggles with Daddy! Last Sunday Mummy went to the place called 'work' for the first time since I arrived. So Daddy and I did boys stuff then walked to meet her.

On Monday, both Mummy and I had a cold so we didn't do much then or on Tuesday. After we picked up Daddy on Tuesday, Mummy left to go to work again and guess what? It was just me and Daddy for my bedtime. We've only done that once before and I like it.

On Wednesday we both felt a bit better so we met Sarah, Coinneach and Tiernan at Duthie Park for 'Lark in the Park'. There were loads of toys to play with and lots of trees to explore.

This is me and Coinneach on the seesaw!

After a while it started to rain so we went inside to the big greenhouse where there is lots of flowers and cactoos, no cacty...big spikey plants and it is very hot. When we came out, the rain was finished so Coinneach and I were allowed to run around and play on the bandstand thing.

Tiernan was making me giggle lots when he was shouting BOO! Mummy went to work again that night. Yesterday, I went to the creche in the morning with James so our mummies could go to the gym. We got to use felt tip pens to draw. We had good fun, but the paper was boring, so I drew on James. When we saw them there again today, James' Mummy said she couldn't get the pen off his arms, oops!!

In the afternoon we went to baby group but I wasn't feeling very well and wanted to just cuddle Mummy lots. So we came home and snuggled on the couch together watching TV. Balamory was on, and I made Mummy giggle when I was singing along with it. This is me yesterday, Daddy says I look like I'm trying to be Princess Leia from Star Wars whatever that means.

Today I went to the creche in the morning again. After my sleep, we played lots and went to Asda where Mummy bought be a few things for my holidays and a new toy car. I like it, and even make "vroom vroom" noises when I drive it along the furniture! We bought some mini donuts with chocolate sauce to dip them in, they were yum!

Love
Kory

Busy Packing & Laura's Visit

Yet another busy week of doing nothing! On Monday morning Kory and I went to pay the deposit on the van we've hired for the move then went to Boots for some toiletries for holiday, filled the car up with petrol and came home. Kory went to bed and I called round lots of places cancelling different bills we pay. When he got up, we had lunch and went to the gym, then went round to Hannah's for Kory to play and me to rest!!

On Tuesday, Laura came up about lunchtime to visit for a couple of days (did I mention she doesn't live in Aberdeen any more?) We went to collect some cardboard boxes for packing then went to Asda. On Wednesday morning I went to the gym while Kory stayed with Laura and in the afternoon we went into town. I got some pyjamas for my holiday, nothing exciting!

This is Kory sitting at the table like a big boy (eating home made pizza and chips!) We decided to take the tray off his highchair to see if he was tall anough to sit at the table. He managed as it was finger foods, but he's still too small to eat other things sitting like that.

This photo was taken on Thursday, Kory wanted to play constantly with my hair bobble, so I put it in his hair! He was chuffed to bits and wanted to keep looking in the mirror! Anyway, on Thursday morning, we took Laura to the train station and in the afternoon went to baby group, and got locked out so sat outside on the grass.

On Friday we went to the gym, then swimming and packed lots of things in the afternoon. It's a slow process because Kory unpacks as much as I pack! We got most of Kory's room done, books, all the stuff in his wardrobe, teddies and special things. He was not impressed each time I shut a box!! This photo is of Kory having found a caterpillar on the wall of the house and being adamant that James had to come out to see it!!

Today James had to go into work to earn the time he needs off to move house, so Kory and I went into town in the morning looking for new bedding for the new house. After lunch we packed some more then went back for James. We went to a retail park for a nosey about, then to Brewsters near the airport for dinner.

When we came home, Kory thought it was fun to sit on the washing basket lid and have James fly him about like he was on a magic carpet! For those who know, don't you think Kory looks so like Jamie did at that age in this photo??!!

I managed to get this photo tonight after ages trying. It's Kory's "I'm so excited I'm going to explode" face! He clenches his teeth, tilts his shoulder, smiles and his whole body shakes. He thinks he's so funny, especially when you do it back at him!

And lastly - I have a new job. Nothing very exciting, just a few hours a week at Makro (it's the closest place to our house that employs people!!) I had an interview last week and they've offered me 12 hours a week at the reception desk. So I'll be working Tuesday & Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. So James and Kory will have some boy time which they don't do very often and I will have some money to call my own! Not a lot mind you, but I was never going to earn what I know I can with hours to allow me to stay at home with Kory too, so this works all round.
