More Toys Photos

We've been getting a lot done this week that we've been meaning to do in the house for ages, nothing exciting to report. We did go into town yesterday morning, James spent some of his Christmas money and I bought the baby a gorgeous wee Teddy snowsuit. It has ears on the hood and paws on the feet and I love it. It was in the sale which was an even bigger bonus as I've been looking at it for a while. So that's everything for bringing her home from hospital sorted as I got her outfit before Christmas.

Today we finally sorted through the last of the boxes from moving house, old photos (Jenni - be thankful I couldn't be bothered hooking the scanner up, there were some real classics!!) so now the only things in the baby's room are baby things. Next Thursday, Kory's new bed arrives, so the cot will move through there which will make it all seem more real, argh!! I came across this old summer hat, and Kory insited on wearing it all afternoon in the house, went mad if we tried to take it off him. Only he looked like he was off out fishing or something!

The photos are of us playing with some Playdoh that Santa brought Kory. He was a bit unsure at first, he thought it was for eating. But he soon got the hang of it and it didn't take him long to work out that Daddy has much more imagination than Mummy.

Daddy made an elephant, a dog and a penguin. Mummy made a ball, some sausages and attempted a snowman. I'm sure there has to be something in the left/right handed theory in left being more creative! I'm rubbish! Here Kory is examining a dog James made. With all the new toys Kory has, there seems to be plenty to take photos of this week. Tonight we opened the bath crayons and they were a big hit!

They're pretty much pen shaped coloured soap, and you can write on your body and the bath/tiles. Kory was in his element, the bath was covered in 'drawings' and as you can see, so was he!! I have to admit, they are pretty cool, James and I had fun with them too! Thanks Santa!!

Santa Came to Visit

It's been Christmas and Santa came to my house and brought me lots of toys. The day before that, my Gran and Tom arrived at night time and we went into my garden to sprinkle some reindeer food on the grass so that they could find where to park to let Santa deliver my presents.

Then Mummy helped me get a glass of milk, an apple pie (Daddy said Santa would be fed up of mince pies by the time he got to my house, so we left an apple one instead) and a carrot to leave out for Santa and his reindeers.

I got to wear my Christmas pyjamas that night too and once I put the magic key by the door so Santa could get in, I went to bed and I had my Santa story. I tried really hard to stay awake so that I could hear him coming in, but it didn't work and I fell asleep, silly me!

In the morning, I had some breakfast in bed with Mummy and Daddy and then we all went downstairs. There were lots presents next to my big stocking. It was very exciting when Mummy said I was allowed to open them!!

I won't tell you everything, but I was a lucky boy, I got a digger, a mat for my cars, a table and chairs, new cars, paints, bath toys, play doh, books, slippers and loads more.

I did get a bit bored unwrapping the presents, I went to read my books at my new table and ate my wee orange I found in the bottom of my stocking, while Mummy and Daddy opened the rest.

Once I had my snack and my sleep, Gran and Tom came over again, with MORE presents for me!! I got a garage, a cool travel airbed lots of books and a talking toolbench with a hammer and screwdriver, just like Daddy's (his doesn't talk!) My Auntie Laura gave her present to Gran to bring up, so I got those too, I got a piano and seat, bath toys, a Balamory DVD, a Cbeebies CD and more books! I'm a very lucky boy, thanks everyone who gave me presents.

Here is Tom helping me build my workbench while Mummy and Daddy and Gran were making dinner. It was good fun hammering everything to make sure it all went together.

We had yummy food to eat, lots of turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, vegetables, stuffing, sausages wrapped in bacon, potatoes and more. I really enjoyed it all and even had some space in my tummy for some raspberry pavlova after the food. I was very stuffed up though! I played some more with my toys and then was so sleepy I went to bed.

On boxing day, Gran and Tom went away home, and guess what? I didn't have to get dressed, I stayed in my pyjamas and played with all my new things ALL day, it was really good. Me and Daddy played at cars and made noise with my drum and then I got to go in the bath with my new penguin water park from Jenni and Dave (I thought it would have had monkey's in becasue Dave has monkey's on his farm!!) and my new shower and ducks too.

I had a really good Christmas, I don't really remember last year as I was too little and now I can't wait until Santa comes again, only 361 more sleeps, yippee!

Love Kory

P.S. I've put some more photos below, I couldn't decide which ones to put on as I know Nana, Grandad, Gran & Grandpa will want to see them all!

Pre-Christmas Update

Firstly my bump from last week, I keep forgetting to post it, oops! This week I've not been feeling great. Probably a mixture of doing too much and everything going on. I was sent home from work on Sunday as I almost fainted 3 times in 20 minutes. I had to be driven as I clearly wasn't safe to drive. So James and Kory walked up to get the car while I lay in bed. It was sheer bliss actually to be in the house alone, not something that happens often.

On Monday, Kory and I went to Brewsters in the afternoon to meet Leanne, Jessica and Sophie. The kids played and we chatted. On Tuesday, Dave came round for a while. As you can see Kory took a shine to him, climbed all over him and tried to tickle his belly button. He stayed for lunch and most of the afternoon till I had to get ready for work. Work was total chaos at night and I came home shattered.

On Wednesday, Kory and I slept in till 9am in the morning - was lovely. James has started bringing Kory through to lie with me in bed still in his sleeping bag in the mornings while he gets ready for work. When James left, Kory nodded off again, so I took full advantage and did the same. This photo is him doing his silly face which he's done for ages, but not on demand till recently!! In the afternoon, we went round to see Hannah, Holly and Natalie. Holly is amazing with her speech now, a proper little chatterbox and Natalie is such a smiley wee thing, butter wouldn't melt!! I left Kory there for a while to nip to see the midwife.

She says the reason for my fainting episodes is pregnancy related, called Hypo/Hyper something (sorry I forget!) She also says I'll probably need physio for my sciatica this pregnancy as it's happenning so early, but that is probably in part because of my stupid tummy muscles, which have given up the will to live! Basically they have split open as they'd only have started to heal after they were ripped open during my c-section. So that explains why I am looking more pregnant that I am.

Yesterday, baby group couldn't get into the room we're normally in, so we decided to meet down at Rambo's instead. There were the 2 sets of twins which is a rarity. Kory looks somewhat confused at the identical ones, but fires right in there and dances for/with them! I braved Asda last night to get the Christmas food shopping, and it was awful. So many people acting like food was rationed and they'd never see food again. Trolley rage galore

This morning we left the house early to meet Sarah and Coinneach in town. We had no buggy so Kory was walking. NIGHTMARE! He kept getting sore legs and trying to climb up me to get picked up. I'm struggling to walk about myself now, so carrying him was breaking my poor arms. We didn't leave town till 1pm (James finished early today), by which time he was very very sleepy, so needless to say he zonked in the car.

I sneaked out to take a photo of him snoozing in the car, mouth wide open. I came back in and thought I might as well take one of James too as he was asleep on the couch. Like 2 flippin' peas in a pod these 2...not sure who copies who any more. The afternoon was almost gone by then, so we watched some Santa Clause the Movie, ate some food and played. I guess that's it till all the festive fun is over, so have a lovely time and I'll update you soon!

Teddy is a Girl!!

As some of you know, we went for a private scan on Saturday to find out what sex Teddy is. As the title suggests, we found out for sure that it's a girl. We're both pleased with this, although we were not bothered either way, we just wanted to "know" It was a nice day out, but a long drive and as I was the only one insured on the car I had to do it all.

I think it was probably too much for me as I was sent home from work on Sunday as I kept nearly fainting, ooops.

What's going on?

You might have notice a few changes on the look of the blog (again!!!). Blogger is currently testing out a Beta version of their new blogging system and we've just been invited to join.

Me being me, couldn't say no :).

They've added lots of cool new features to the system including category labels, so you can search by subject rather than just dates, a hierarchy menu to tidy up the 304 entries we now apparently have and lots of other bits and bobs which I'll probably be messing around with at some point soon.

To get all this working though I've had to reset the blog's look and feel. Nothing major, but it just means I've got to put all the stuff like the other blog links, games etc. back in at some point soon.

Shoe Fetish

Mummy thinks I have a shoe fetish, yesterday Daddy found me in Mummy's boots with fluffy bits inside and today I was wearing Mummy's pink fluffy slippers!! I like fluffy things, what can I say!??

I really like playing with the camera and saying "cheeeese" when it's pointed at me now, look....

These were taken before I fell tonight and burst my lip open, and now it's all black and there was lots of blood, poor me.

Crash, Bump!

What a week I've had! Well on Tuesday morning, Kory got up in a mood and was really tired. As it was the last day of his swimming lessons and they were having a bit of a party/games day, I wanted him in an ok mood. So I decided to go out for a wee drive to get him to sleep for a while. I got just along the road, and managed to go into the back of another car/van.

Ultimately it was my fault, we were going to turn left onto a dual carriageway. There was no traffic on the road, and the car in front moved forward to pull out, I looked to the right to check again that it was still clear, which it was and I accelerated to go...right into the back of him. He'd stopped again and not gone. GRR.

Kory thought it was good though "mummmeee, bump!" - I got out and so did the guy, he saw I had Kory in the car and that I'm pregnant, said his office was just up the road and we all went up there. Swapped insurance details, they made sure I was ok and I made my way home. James came home for the rest of the day as I was a bit wobbly. I spent the whole day feeling guilty for bumping when Kory was in the car. Here he is eating a lolly I gave him. He was delighted as he doesn't really get sweets!

On Wednesday we spent the whole day in the house waiting on the garage to come and get the car. When they did, Kory was delighted as they brought a truck and put it on the back of it. They left us a we Micra and it feels like driving a bubble, it's so light after our car!

Yesterday was our "baby group" Christmas party - it was a bit of a rushed one this year because we only planned it a week ago! The kids all ate loads as usual and played and us mummies just chatted! Kory had on his santa monkey top as you can see in this photo with him posing and saying "cheeeeeeeeese"

There are 2 sets of twins who go, one identical and one non identical. The non identical ones are Jessica and Sophie and I think Kory has a soft spot for Jessica. When you ask him who his friends are, he says Daniel and Jessica. Anyway, I caught them kissing yesterday! Unfortunately the stupid digital camera flashes first and by the time it actually took the photo, they'd both turned round!

20 Week Scan & Bump

On Friday we had our 20 week scan of Teddy. Here is the result...a baby!! Everything was present and correct, 4 chambers in the heart, 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 hands, 2 feet and one head. It was jumping around all over the place, showing the scanner it's feet and peeking round at whatever was poking it!!

I'm feeling Teddy moving all the time now, to the point of lacking sleep. I feel shattered, argh, what am I doing having another one who won't sleep at nights? I've just got used to sleep again! Oh well 18 months from now I might get a full night...counting down....

This is my bump photo from the weekend. I feel like a big beached whale, but apparently look great (so you lot keep telling me anyway, I'm not being big headed here!!) The sickness is almost away, I do still feel a bit rough, and have my moments with food, but on the whole it's better than it was.

Grandad's Visit

On Friday afternoon, I went to play at Coinneach's house. He has a really huge Christmas tree that touches the ceiling! Mummy left me there while she went to get Daddy and go to see 'my baby' at the hospital! At night time, my Grandad came from London to see me.

When I got up in the morning, he gave me my new books, I got a Digger one, a Truck one and another Christmas one - all with bits for me to touch and say "fluffy" Once I had my sleep, I got to put on my welly boots and we went to a park. We even took my ball. Mummy, Daddy and Grandad kicked it about for me and I kicked it back. But mostly I liked to pick it up and throw it.

We went to the chutes and I went on some big ones with wobbly bridges. But I got scared as they got a bit too big for me. So Daddy came to rescue me! Once we had walked back to the car - along the way we found a huge pile of leaves to throw in the air and shout "weeee" - we headed to Dobbies Garden Centre. There were loads of lights and sparkles there, Mummy likes it at Christmas time. I got to dance to the singing Santa's again too.

On Sunday morning, Grandad took us out for breakfast. I was a bit confused getting dressed and in the car before food! I had a huge bowl of cereal, some of Daddy's mushrooms & eggs, some croissant, some fruit & some toast. What a wee piggy!!

In the afternoon, me and Daddy took Grandad to the airport to go Whooosh on the plane. Then we came home and played with toys until Mummy finished work. Today me and Mummy did some cleaning in the morning, and I helped with the washing by putting it on the heaters then went to Rambo's to see my friends. We went into town after that to meet Daddy. He took me to see some toy shops and the dancing men in the shopping centre while Mummy ran off to do some shopping - thank goodness I didn't have to go this time, I hate shopping!

Old Photos

I've never really had any photos of myself to put on from my past, so since my dad brought some with him last time he visited, I thought I'd pop a couple on for your amusement.

This is a photo of Jamie (my wee brother) when he was younger. Kory thinks it's him when you ask him who is in the photo!

This is me at about 3 I think

And me in primary 1 of school

Kory actually recognises me in both of these without being told which is pretty impressive!

Sprouts!

This week hasn't been very eventful. However, we have the 20 week scan tomorrow. I might even see if James will scan the photo seeing as we never actually got the last one on here! This is last weeks bump photo, it seems to be getting bigger by the day. I'm not sure Kory was as active as this baby at this stage, but then I'm sure I've blanked a lot of it out, otherwise I'd not be doing it again!!

Kory has decided this week he loves cooking or helping anyway. As you saw in the Chef post the other day, he stands on a chair and "helps" His favourite thing seems to be sprouts, he gets his (blunt) knife and tries to copy James scoring them and pulling the outside leaves off!! And the best bit? He loves eating them too! How many kids actually like sprouts, what's that all about??!!

In saying that, there isn't food he won't eat. Those of you reading this who know us will know that! Any time, any place, any food. And it's not like more snacking means he eats less at meals, oh no, not Kory, he still eats his meals. Not really a surprise that he's solid! I caught him on the couch cuddling my Pooh hot water bottle the other day, which is why he looks surprised in this photo!

Anyway, at the start of the week I managed to do my back in and could barely move, it was horrible, especially when Kory didn't understand why Mummy wouldn't dance with him!! So we didn't go to anything on Monday, and then Tuesday was a disaster swimming. He screamed, clung to me like a monkey yelling "cuddle mummy cuddle" and wouldn't let go. We ended up getting out after 15 minutes of this and abandoned the lesson. Wednesday was just playgroup, then Asda for a few bits in the afternoon and today was a write off as I was ill again then made it to the group in the afternoon.

Kory is very into books just now. He's got so many (I'm fed up of them all, I can't wait for him to get new ones for Christmas!!) Everywhere we go he makes a beeline for the books as well. So here he is having a read of his Pooh Bear book on the couch.
