The (almost!) Finished House!

Well that's my parents 'hoilday' home in Cyprus almost built, and just in time for Christmas as well.

Here's some pictures that were taken at the beginning of the week.

The house still needs to have the electricity turned on and the railing put in around the swimming pool. Apart from that though it's just about there.

The furniture is now on it's way out there with my mum closily following next Thursday (16th). My dad's out on the 23rd and the two are spending Christmas day sitting in the Med' in front of the swimming pool. Ok for some!!!

I guess the only disadvantage of it all is they've got to unpack everything once it's turned up. It's a hard life :)

Well, we heard yesterday that we finally have mains electricity. It was a good day because we were also informed that the ship carrying our container of furniture arrives on Monday. This all looks like very "un-Cypriot" good timing. Now we have the mains they can clean the place up, fill up the pool (couldn't run the purification plant before). They can also test the central heating (yes, it does get cold in Cyprus occasionally!) and obviously the lights/power system. Our new kitchen white goods and cooker, which have been languishing in a shop in Limassol since September, can be delivered, installed and tested. Coral arrives next Thursday and she has a week to unpack the furniture, get the curtains up and prepare for my arrival (love it). Well, she does have a little help though.
