Party Season!!

Well I'm all partied out, and it's not even Christmas yet!! Come to think of it, I've not been to a single grown up party, all little people, who says having children kills your social life?

Last Monday & Tuesday we just did usual Monday & Tuesday type things, then on Wednesday we had our new windows & doors fitted. The guys arrived at 8am and Laura came over to help out with Kory about 8:30am, which was a big help, as I couldn't leave the house.

Kory was delighted to be allowed to eat his lunch in the living room that day, but my carpet, argh!! He sat in his chair for ages after and played and watched tv!!

It was freezing cold in here all day, but they worked pretty fast! Laura took Kory out a walk, and I redecorated our tree. After doing it once, then one set of lights dying, I wasn't quite so enthusiastic the second time!! When Laura came back, she helped me, and as you can see, Kory was helping (??) too!

On Wednesday, the windows were finished in the morning. It was really cold outside, so Kory and I were locked in my bedroom until they were done!! He was bored and grumpy, and I wasn't much better. This is him in his Christmas pyjamas!

James came home at lunchtime to join us at Kory's baby group Christmas party in the afternoon. Kory wore his Santa outfit and looked very cute. James found it "interesting" to see Kory with all the other babies and to see where we go every Thursday and get up to mischief!! This is a nice picture of my 2 boys.

Me and Mr Clause!

Kory looking very unsure of Santa!

James, Kory, Erin and Andrew with his back to the camera!

And me throwing Kory in the air at the end, he loves it, although not sure I'll be able to do for much longer, he's so heavy now!!

On Friday morning we had another Christmas party, at Art Group. Santa was pretty scary with a booming voice!! Kory got a fireman jigsaw. There was loads of food and games. In the afternoon, it started snowing, and that was that for the whole weekend!!

On Saturday, it was Coinneach's 1st birthday party, only for some reason we don't seem to have any photos other than this one of Kory with a massive balloon!! We must have been too busy chatting! James then had his work night out, and i had a nightmare night with the wee man. He has a cold and he barely slept all night, even when he came in my bed to sleep. Poor little guy, he doesn't understand.

Yesterday, he seemed full of beans and all ready for another party!! Which was just as well, because it was Holly's 1st birthday party!! James didn't come - he needed sleep as he's been out and had also got up with Kory in the morning as I'd had only 1 hours sleep.

Holly had on a lovely party dress, and the babies had party hats to wear, only Kory would keep his on though, he looked so silly! In fact he didn't even seem to notice it was on his head. He had fun playing with different toys and Matthew was a great source of entertainment, he smiled every time he came near!

When we got back from the party, we were shattered, Kory slept well last night! Today we went food shopping then to our group in the afternoon. The supermarkets are already like no-one has ever seen food before and never will again, CHAOS!

Here's a few extra pictures taken during the week.

It's Christmas!!!

And I am so excited!! I love Christmas time, more the build up to it than the actual day, but today I put our tree up and now I am excited!! Kory was sleeping when I did the tree and when he got up he was in awe at the sparkly lights! However he wasn't so amused with James putting on the Santa hat, he got so upset. But as you can see, he was happy to wear it himself!

This week we haven't done an awful lot. On Wednesday, Kory and I went into town when James went to work and picked up Laura. We went to Asda and then into town shopping. At lunchtime, we met with Hannah and Holly. Then Laura headed off to go to work and Hannah and I shopped with babies who were bored, what fun!

On Thursday, we didn't go to music class, but did go to baby group in the afternoon. We spent most of it planning our baby party this week, I can't wait!! One of the Daddy's is bringing Santa with him to give out the presents to the babies, and we're having food and stuff!!

On Friday we went to the art class but didn't make the reindeer antlers - pretty hard for an 8 month old!! But Kory had fun with the walker thing there, walking up and down, which is his new favourite hobby, my back is breaking!! Angela very kindly offered to lend him Matthew's walker. This photo is of Kory motoring round the living room!

When we got home, Sarah and Coinneach came round for lunch. Trying to get a photo of the boys both looking at the camera and not blinking was really hard, this is as good as it got!! They had fun playing, but not really together!! Coinneach is walking, and amused Kory by toddling around - hope Kory was watching closely.

As Sarah went out the back door, Angela and Matthew came in the front!! They were dropping off the walker, but stayed for a coffee and a chat too. It's amazing the difference a few months makes! At night, Laura came over and we all got an Indian meal, yum!

Yesterday, the house was driving me nuts, so I packed the boys off out a walk to let me get on with tidying and cleaning!! The house looks nice now! In fact that's all I did yesterday. They came back from their walk and went out to get petrol and also to Asda. I didn't even leave the house!!

Today, as I said, I put up our tree! Once I was done, we went over to get Laura, and went to Dobbies Garden Centre to see all the Christmas stuff, then went out for dinner. Kory was really good, although wasn't much interested in bed when we got home!!

Although it's hard to see in the photo, it's Kory's other favourite passtime...bouncing! He's been in his Tigger Bouncer since he was little, and now bounces all over the place, in buggy, in carseat, on floor, in highchair and mainly on the bed. Any time you put him down on the bed, he bounces like a mad thing!

And lastly, here are 2 photos of Kory in his Santa outfit. We took these a few weeks ago, but couldn't put on here, as it would have ruined the surprise of the Christmas cards we got for our families. Instead of getting "named" cards, we decided to order ones with Kory in his Santa suit.

I think he looks totally adorable in it, but then I'm a biased Mummy!!

Belly Giggles

Well as promised in Kory's last entry here's a funny little video I took of the wee man yesterday. We don't usually get giggles like this so I just had to try and get it on camera.

...and yes he is giggling at the wheel pump from the pram. Try and figure that one out :)

My London Adventure!

Look at my Mummy and Daddy, don't they look nice? This is the first photo I've seen of them in ages and ages. It was taken at a party that we went to in London at the weekend. To get there we had to go on a big adventure which started on Saturday morning. Instead of me waking Mummy and Daddy up, they woke me up, how rude!

Instead of having my breakfast and having a wee sleep, they put clothes on me, and bundled me into the car!! It was even still dark outside. We drove to a place called the airport and had to wait ages to get on a plane. Mummy says I've been on one before, but I don't remember!! I had great fun sitting in my own seat because the plane wasn't busy.

When we got off the plane, my Nana and Grandad were waiting for us. We went on a train to get to their house, which went under the ground and was all dark. I preferred when I could look out the windows, but I wasn't scared at all. After I had some lunch, we went to visit my Great Nana Buckingham (Daddy calls her Nanny Bigfoot, but I'm not sure if I'm meant to)

The photo above is me with her and this photo is of me and Daddy and his Daddy and his Mummy...confused? I was, but they said it was 4 generations of Buckinghams, isn't that very cool? I had my dinner at her house, but it was yucky, Mummy tried to give me some food from a jar and I didn't like it. Even the pudding was yucky and I love puddings!

After my dinner, we all got changed into some posh clothes to go to a party. I was so excited that I couldn't sleep in the car. I never get to go out at night times, I'm normally in my bed. Here is a nice photo of me with Mummy and Daddy at the party. The music was awfully loud and I was a bit scared at first. But there were loads of people to give me cuddles.

Like my Auntie Kelly, here I am with her. Uncle Pete is the one looking at us, and the lady is someone I didn't know, but she sat at our table all night and didn't smile once, how rude. When you are as cute as I am, everyone smiles at you!! Jasmine was at the party too, but was running around mad and we didn't manage to take her photo!!

The music started to get to me after a while, so Daddy took me out to the car for a break. I thought I looked pretty cool driving the Merc, what do you think? Maybe I'll ask Santa for one for Christmas...then there would be LOADS of wrapping paper to play with!! The car had lots of cool gadgets that grandad couldn't work out...once I can talk, I'll show him how!!

I managed not to go to sleep until 10 o'clock and all the dancing and music got too much for me, so I cuddled up with Mummy and fell asleep!! I had to have my dummy too, because the music kept distracting me. Aren't I cute sleeping?

When I woke up, I went for a cuddle with my other Great Nana. This one is my Daddy's Mummy's Mummy!! Here is a photo of us all, again 4 generations all together. I don't really understand who all the other people at the party were, all people related to me in some way, but it was too complicated to take in.

Some of them were even talking funny, which Mummy told me was because of the juice they had. I didn't see anything strange, some of them even had bigger versions of my bottle for their juice!! Here is my Great Auntie Janet with her bottle. Maybe she was just very thirsty??

I'm not normally a very cuddly boy, but I was a bit scared of the music, very tired and just liked snuggling into my Daddy. He was dancing with me which was fun too. I got a bit grumpy, so we decided to leave and start on a big drive home. I fell asleep in the car and so did Mummy holding my hand, but she wouldn't let me put that photo on here!!

While I was sleeping, Daddy was taking photos of all the sights of London on the way, which took 2 hours!! Here is a nice one of some of the Christmas lights along the side of the big river. London had lots of nice lights that I could look at in my buggy!!

The next day when we got up, we went for a walk in a big park, called Hyde Park. There was loads of squirrels, here is Mummy talking to one! We went to a wee cafe and had some lunch, Grandad even gave me some of his muffin, yummy! After that, Mummy and Nana went to a big shop called Harrods, but us boys don't like shopping, so we went home. Yippee, no shopping!!

Mummy bought some cool Christmas decorations for our tree (if she ever decides to put it up!!) and then came home and made my dinner. I got something called gammon, and it was very salty, I had to drink loads of water!! After dinner I went for a bath. My Nana has the most ducks in the world. One of them squirts water out it's beak which was soooo funny! She kept doing it on my face and making me giggle!!

On Monday, I gave in and said I would go to that Harrods place with Mummy and Daddy. It was amazing! Then we started a big adventure to get back to the airport and back to Aberdeen. I got to stay up late before I went to bed too because I had a late nap. I must remember that's how to stay up late!!

Today I spent lots of time with my Daddy, and he did the funniest thing...he pumped up my pram tyres, isn't that hilarious?? Well I thought so, I giggled and giggled, Daddy got it on the camera, but I don't know how to put films on here, so Daddy says he'll do it tomorrow for me.

I have a few things to tell you all too before I go, I am now such a big boy now, I have got a tooth (which hurts loads), I can wave bye bye, I can clap my hands, but only do this sometimes, I can do the actions for "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and I walk with help. I can't wait till I can let go!!

8 Months Now

Hello! Yet again, long time no posts huh? So all the way back to last Friday, we didn't go to Art Class, there was too much snow and I couldn't be bothered getting up!! I can't even remember what we did do, housework I think and Hannah and Holly came round for a coffee in the afternoon, I think! On Saturday, we had a kind of hectic day, running about trying to get me a new top, as I discovered that I had nothing to wear to my baby group night out on Saturday night! I got one eventually, which I have on in the photo!

The night out was really good, we went for a lovely meal at Pancho Villas and then on for drinks, and met up with Laura and her friend too. There were 9 of us left at the end of the night...pretty good going! Here is Kory looking very flushed, he'd just come out his Tigger Bouncer, must have been hard work!

On Sunday, I felt a little fragile, although nowhere near as bad as I thought I might have! We went out a walk to our local Burger King for some fat food to cure me. Notsure it worked, but the bitterly cold wind did the job! Shook away all my cobwebs!

Monday was a busy day. We got up to find more snow and took James to work. Kory and I came back to the house and quickly got showered and changed and had to rush to Kory's 8 month assessment at the clinic. He got on fine, weighs over 20lbs now, no wonder my arms hurt. He's doing all the things he should be for his age. Once we were done there, we came back to the house, had our lunch then went to my old work to give Jackie a raincover. I spoke to my old boss for a while, which was interesting!

Once we escaped there, we headed off to our Monday Baby Group. There were only 4 of us there, as well as our health visitor, so it was quite good for a change! We left there and headed round to Laura's flat for an hour or so before we went ot collect James from work. By the time we got home and got Kory to bed I was shattered!

Tuesday and Wednesday were pretty boring days, we didn't leave the house on Tuesday, and did loads of housework on Wednesday then headed up to the library. It's kind of nice not to "have" to go out now, Kory is a bit more managable and sleeps in the house a bit easier. As you can see he even helps me with the washing!

Today we were back on the ball, we had music class in the morning, which Kory loved today as he was "flying" to the Snowman theme tune...don't even ask!! We came home and shared some yummy scrambled egg. When I say shared, I mean Kory ate most of it and I got leftovers!! He really is a piglet. He then polished off a whole apple!

Anyway, we went to Baby Group in the afternoon, it's so strange seeing all the others on the move now, crawling and walking about. I'm glad my little man just sits just now!! We came home and Kory slept in his buggy, it was blowing a gale and freezing outside, but does he look concerned??

Kory then helped (I use the term very loosely!) me make lamb casserole, mashed potatoes and brocolli for James dinner. He seemed keen, so Kory had the same and wolfed it down! He was delighted with a spoon and plastic tub I gave him...remind me why I bought him Christmas presents??!!
