Fandango's!

Today I was a really good girl. After a lovely long lie with Mummy, I had a nice play then Kory and I both had our naps. When we got up we went out to the beach to go to Fandango's for lunch. I sat in my buggy and giggled while watching the fishes in the tanks.

Kory had lots of yummy food and he wouldn't share it with me, he kept telling me "Tistal only gets milk" and I don't think that's very fair. So I decided to show Mummy how upset that makes me and throw a wobbler when I was getting my milk!

Little Becky

I heard this on Radio 2 on Friday on the way to work and I was in tears of laughter. Becky is an 8 year old girl from Dublin who does prank calls. What's great about them though is she uses that "innocent" kid approach to really keep them on the line.

There are a few of these going around online but this is by far the best. Check this out, it's SO funny:

Smiley Girl & Potty Update

As you can see, Krystal doesn't always cry, this was her being all smiley and happy before bedtime tonight.

Today was day 1 of potty "training" as Kory wasn't well so we decided not to do it yesterday. I use the quote marks as if today is anything to go by, we didn't have much training to do! He has gone on the potty every single time, no puddles, no accidents, yay!

I know it's only day 1, and we've yet to brave leaving the house, but I think it was a pretty good start!

Auntie Laura and Pants!

This week has been great fun. I have lots and lots of photos. On Monday morning I went for my first proper visit to the dentist. After Mummy went on the big seat and got a filling, I went on there. It went up high and then it lay backwards and I opened my mouth really wide for him to look inside at my teeth. He said I was a really good boy and I got 2 stickers. I chose Tigger ones because I like Tigger. In the afternoon I went to Rambos like I ususally do on Monday's!

On Tuesday we didn't go out much, but Rachael and Caelen who Mummy met in hospital came to visit us. They brought me presents, one was a ball with worms and blood inside it which is so cool. We walked them to the bus and went to a different park on the way.

On Wednesday morning we went down to playgroup. I played with Daniel and Krystal had a little sleep with one of the childminders which she NEVER does at playgroup, she normally cries! After my lunch we went to the doctors to get Krystal weighed. She is now 11lb 14oz so put on 7oz in the past 2 weeks. So she is still little, but I am too and I think the best things come in small packages!

Wednesday night was really good. I got my jammies on as normal and then once Krystal was in bed, Mummy took me out in the car to go to the station to get Auntie Laura. I was very excited. On the way home we even stopped off to get some pizza. By the time we got home and I had a little bit of pizza, it was nearly 9 o'clock!! So a very late night for me.

On Thursday we didn't do much, Mummy went out in the morning with Krystal so I did some painting with Auntie Laura, and some Play-Doh too. It was great fun. In the afternoon we went a walk and went to the park.

Today we got up and got ready to go out early. We went to Duthie Park and met Jessica, Sophie and Leanne there. We played for a while on the massive slides, then went to the Winter Gardens where there was a display of beasties on for little people. I saw a tarantula skin, a snake skin and some creepy crawlies!

When we got back to the car, Krystal was crying lots. Mummy managed to go "bump" into a car behind us as we were coming out of the parking space. Silly Mummy! In the afternoon we had to take Auntie Laura back to the train station which was sad. I like it when she is here as we have good fun. I hope she comes back to visit soon.

We went to get Daddy from work after that. He is now on holiday for 2 whole weeks which will be really realy good. Lots of playing, yay! When we got home, Mummy and I got out the fabric glitter pens and we decorated 2 pairs of my new big boy pants. Tomorrow I am going to stop wearing nappies and I will use my potty. So I got to make my pants all nice. I did some squiggles and dots on my ones and Mummy did some stars.

I'm also going to be wearing my new jelly Shrek shoes. I really like them and chose them last week. Mummy is really impressed too, but because if I have something called an accident, it means my good shoes don't need washed! I have a sticker chart all ready and when I fill it up, I will get the new Numberjacks DVD as a present. I am so excited about that, it came out last week and I've still not seen it, so I have to use my potty lots to collect enough stickers!

Me and Mummy will let you know how it goes. Wish me luck!

Bounce Bounce Bounce

Last week we just did the usual things, breastfeeding group and baby group on Thursday and had the twins and Daniel round to play in the garden on Friday. I think someone needs to tell Kory that you are meant to roll the ball in skittles, not kick it!

Now that we've discovered Krystal's problem is when she's tired, things are a lot easier, but it means we can barely go out as she will not sleep in the car or in her buggy, only in her cot in the dark. This photo shows her being totally amazed she has hands, if only my life were that simple!

This weekend has been a totally lazy one, we've done very little round the house, and not really been out.Well, apart from yesterday Kory and I went to the Next sale and got loads of bargains and today a quick visit to B&Q today as I was getting cabin fever. I'm still not very well with these stupid tablets, so not got much energy.

Yesterday we decided the time had come to dig out Kory's old door bouncer and give Krystal a shot. She wasn't exactly impressed with it, but didn't cry either. She'll get used to it soon I suppose!

Now she's in the big bath with Kory, they had some bubbles last night. She was pretty tired and had been crying just before, hence the big red puffy eyes!

Haircut

Yesterday Mummy took me to get my hair cut as I'd been asking for ages as it was too long. Don't I look really grown up, the lady put on some gel for me which made it really spikey, I love my new hair. Here is me pulling a very silly face too!

3 Months Today

As the title suggests Krystal is 3 months old today, and to celebrate, she had a needle stuck in each leg...poor baby! She yelped when they went in, screamed when they came out but then settled and smiled at the nurse.

She's been really sleepy today, not wanting to wake for milk and out for the count tonight. Maybe the Calpol helped!

So now she's 3 months, it is hopefully going to ease a bit...anyway, Happy 3 month birthday Krystal!

Scorchio!

Today has been a really hot day. I woke up not well this morning (side effects from drugs I'm on for a breastfeeding related illness - won't bore you with details!) so after I put Krystal for a nap, James took Kory out to the park and I went back to bed. I eventually got up about 12pm by which time Kory was in bed.

We all had lunch in the garden, Kory was delighted with his Halloumi, pitta bread and tomatoes! And Krystal even played in her seat. But as babies do, they lull you into a false sense of security and then do a complete U-turn. So James went for a nap with Krystal for an hour while Kory and I played and had ice lolly's. I polished Kory's chute with furniture polish to make it really slidey, he was delighted and spent the rest of the afternoon zooming down it! I've now got a burnt left shoulder though - yes it was *that* hot!

Big Bath

Today was a really good day, I've not had to cry to tell Mummy and Daddy I am tired and I went to bed and slept lots! Mummy even went out with Kory this afternoon. This is me, Daddy and Kory playing on the floor this morning.

All the way through dinner I played with my hippo. I have been staring at him for weeks now, and have finally worked out how to reach out my hand and hit him. He is very funny as when I do he sings to me.

Once they had all eaten nice food, and I had boring old milk, it was bathtime. But instead of my usual bath, I got to go in the big bath where Kory goes. It was really good, lots of space to swim around and I even got some toys in too. This is Tigger, Kory let me borrow him which was very nice of him.

When I got out I had a lovely cuddle with Mummy before I got my pyjamas on.

But I soon got very cold with no clothes on and Daddy insisted on taking my photo again, it's not very flattering is it? But now I am very tired and am going to bed. Night night.

Breastfeeding Group

Something I've not posted on here about is the new group me and my friend Sarah have started. As the title suggests, it's a breastfeeding group and we had our first one today. Only one other person came, but it's one more than we expected on day 1!

We have the support of the health visitors, the community midwives and the parentcraft co-ordinators at the maternity hospital who are all going to help us promote it. The community education people are also right behind us, so we're really hoping it works out!

Wish us Luck!

Hangovers & Babies...

...don't mix! I was out last night at my friend Leann'es 30th birthday party and despite being home by 12:15am, felt knackered this morning! Kids just don't lie in when you need them to eh?!

We actually all went to the party in the afternoon, as it was a BBQ and her twin girls were there so Kory went to play. Then at bedtime, we all came home and put the kids to bed then I headed out again for some freedom. Here is James and Kory before we left with his wine!

Kory is very into smoothies just now, so both yesterday and today we've been firing in random fruit and drinking smoothies! Today was a lovely day and we spent most of it in the garden, until we went to Homebase to get a new shelf for Kory's room. So that will hopefully be put up soon so he can get photos and things out that are still in boxes from when we moved!

James is off work tomorrow for a local holiday, so I have a nice short week, woohoo!

400th Post!!

Woohoo, this is the 400th post on our blog and it's my turn to do it. I feel special, but it's really down to all Mummy's hard work we've got to 400. She spends AGES sorting photos and writing stories about us all. Well done Mummy!

This week has been a busy one as usual. On Monday morning me and Krystal were both really grumpy as we'd had a busy weekend with visitors and then we were back to just Mummy. So in the afternoon we went to Stonehaven and went to a park.

Tuesday morning I had school which was good fun and then as it was so hot, we went to Duthie Park with Jessica, Sophie and Leanne. We had a little picnic and then did some running up and down the hill. We went for some ice-creams and then met Ann, George and Liam who I played football with.

On Wednesday I had school again and it was the last one for the summer, so no more Funky Monkey for ages and ages. Later on we took Krystal to the doctors and then went to Brewsters to meet Jess and Sophie again. We all had great fun playing.

On Thursday it was really sunny again, so we went round to Daniel's house to play in the garden in the morning. I got to see his guinea pig, Yogi. She likes me. Then in the afternoon we went to baby group.

Today we went to visit Hannah, Holly and Natalie. We did drawing, played with toys watched some tv and then I even got to eat my lunch there. It was yummy and I even got an ice lolly after it. It was really cold and I couldn't finish it. Krystal slept the whole time almost, but that is much better than when she cries. She does that a lot.

We didn't do anything in the afternoon, but the rain was really really heavy and the sky tv wouldnt work, so we watch Shrek instead! Then after we got Daddy from work we went to buy lots of fruit juice to make yummy smoothies. They are my favourite thing just now! Now Daddy is off for the weekend and we're going to a party, so there will be some photos from there soon.

Love

Holiday Week

Oops, I didn't realise I hadn't updated this for a week. With James being off last week we were pretty busy. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday were just normal days, as Kory had school and then the car was in the garage (AGAIN!) to get the brakes fixed. They had better be done this time, as that's over £700 now.

Kory fell off his Winnie the Pooh car on Thursday mornign and crashed into a wall and got a big bruise on his face!

On Friday, James took Kory and Krystal to Rambo's in the morning and I did some housework - it was actually quite nice in a strange way to be by myself regardless of what I was doing! In the evening Coral and Chad (James' parents) arrived from London for the weekend. Both kids were in bed, so I got to open all the pressies for them (thanks C & C!)

On Saturday morning Kory was delighted to find his Nana and Grandad in the spare room, and even moreso when they produced several new books for him! The whole weekend we've heard "Nana do it" and "Grandad do it" The weather was lovely, so we decided to go to Storybook Glen for the day.

It's a childrens place set in lovely gardens, with lots of (very bad) models of characters around the place. The don't look much like what they are meant to be, but the kids don't seem to care. I think I've been spoilt having been to Disney twice too!

We spent a couple of hours wondering around then headed for some lunch. Once we were done, we decided to head to Stonehaven as there was a European market on. It was smaller than we thought, but we did get some yummy pancakes before we came home again.

After both kids were in bed, James and I went to the pub for a couple of drinks. Neither Kory or Krystal made a squeak the whole time we were out, yet tonight Krystal just won't stay asleep.

Today the weather was rubbish all day. Everyone went to B&Q this morning and then James made a roast for lunch. After lunch Coral and Chad had to head off to the airport, so we headed into town for a while.

Enjoy the rest of the photos and I'll pop the videos on this post another day as I am off to bed now as I've had 3 rough nights and feel awful!
